I had the pleasure of going into OMG "Roflclopter" new children's toy store located on 288 Newark ave btwn 3rd and 4th street that just opened. I had gone by two weeks premature, eager with anticipation of when they would open, and finally a toy store for kids! With all of the countless birthday parties my daughter goes to it, it's great to have a place with the latest inventions of learning toys, games, and developing items for children. The store owner who is also unbeknownst to me, a toy designer as well and gave me such a warm welcome and has a beautifulcurated diverse selection of merchandise. The timing was so perfect from when they opened and my daughterconveniently hada friend's birthday party this Friday to go to, and I was able to go in and immediately find an age appropriate gift within minutes. A great neighborhood friendly, family woman owned business,an overall perfect addition to the community. Putting money back into our local economy by shopping small, I can't wait for the next party, I know exactly where I am going. Stay tuned for their grand opening happening October1, whereCouncil woman at large Joyce Watterman will be cutting the ribbon. Follow and like them via social media (click links below), to stay updated on their latest events, hours of operation, and whats to come. In the meantime, take a few minutes and check out your local, friendly, neighborhood toy store!

Thanks to all of your πand ✅, we made it to the final round! Now I have the opportunity to pitch my business #myrtleandflossie at St. Peter's, to a panel of judges in hopes of winning a $10,000 grant to go towards expanding the @myrtleandflossie brand and opening a dedicated physical location!
I am feeling elated and going "all the way ππΎ"!
This news couldn't have come at a better time, with me just leaving a new mom who hired me on the spot to be her Postpartum Doula, and now with me being one step closer to opening my physical location, new moms, established moms, and non-moms all alike will have a designated, specialized store for them to come to and I really can continue to provide quality items, services, and information to my community! Whether it be easy fashion, herbal homeopathic products, women wellness services, classes, etc.. Wherever a woman may fall on the postpartum spectrum from the me the mental, emotional, and physical changes that take place, Myrtle&Flossie will be there for them. Taking care of mama, "life after baby" remember mamas, invest in yourself so that you may continue to invest in others......until next Monday!
Ever heard of the saying "happy wife, happy life".....well I like to say happy mommy, happy everyone! Mamas are the nucleus that hold the families (or it all) together, if mama is ok,
everybody is ok. I do these MamaCare post every Monday to provide helpful info, tips, DIY's, etc....to support moms and make it clear that mothers need to continue to invest in themselves so they have something left to invest in others. Myrtle&Flossie is a lifestyle brand with a unique blend of products/services/info with a special focus on postpartum care and women wellness. Understanding the mental, emotional, and physical changes that take place after giving birth, M&F fills the gap of "life after baby", offering easy fashion, herbal homeopathy products, workshops/classes, and specialized women wellness services that any mom and non-mom can enjoy, leaving them healthy and happy.
My goal is to have a dedicated space where all the components of the brand can be represented under one roof. Looking to open a physical store where women and mothers alike can come and have a space for them, whether they want services, clothing, certain products, take a class, whatever it may be, no matter where they fall on the postpartum spectrum.
Myrtle&Flossie made it to the second round of the "start something challenge competition which means we are one step closer to possibly winning a grant to open our space. However we need to get as many votes possible between today and the deadline the 17th, only one week to get enough votes to advance to the final round where I have the opportunity to pitch my idea. If you like this idea, could see yourself at our space, utilizing our services/products, or know someone that could benefit greatly, PLEASE VOTE for M&F. You can vote every day per device; phone, tablet, computer, etc..... If you can't commit the time to vote per day, pass it on and share to get others to do the same. It's about developing communities, and offering diverse businesses to support.
