Mama Care Monday's: Pre-wash Conditioning Hair Oil Treatment

One thing that is so amazing while being pregnant besides incubating and creating life are some of the hair, skin, and nail perks that come with it. While expecting, women naturally produce extra hormones to support a growing baby in utero which can be extremely beneficial to a woman, particularly for the growth of her hair and nails. Not to mention the "pregnancy glow", I am sure you have heard, made mention yourself, and/or been on the receiving end when individuals exclaim in excitement how amazing pregnant women look....."you are glowing" being the quintessential catchphrase. That's mainly due to the result of the extra production of oil in the sebaceous glands.
Women who prior to being pregnant had short or slow growing hair, due to the extra development of hormones during pregnancy can sometimes experience faster growing and lengthier hair. Sounds great right!......sadly it does come to an end, and all of what was gained while expecting, leaves after the birth of the baby, mainly in the form of the placenta. Which by the way, I am a huge advocate for placenta encapsulation and/or consuming the placenta in some form. However, that is a conversation for another time......

"Postpartum hair loss" not so attractive words and not fun to experience especially for new moms unaware of it happening. Some women experience during the earlier stages of post, while others don't see shedding until a few weeks post, whenever it begins and once it happens, hair loosens around the edges, in the crown, and/or back and literally comes out in clumps and it's no small wonder that you don't end up bald? When it was happening to me, although very startling to see handfuls of hair in my hands after barely touching it, I wasn't too panicked because I was prepared and had an amazing hair concoction that I used pre-pregnancy and was able to use post-pregnancy that helped restore and grow my hair back during the momentary lost.
Ian's Secret pre-wash conditioning hair oil treatment is an excellent hair product infused with herbal botanicals, carrier, and essential oils mixed together in a specific combination that makes it a potent product and benefits the hair by promoting growth, deep conditioning, and fortifies the hair shaft from root to tip. One of the first products created in our homeopathic bath/body care line, I made it during a time when I was modeling full time and my hair was constantly being done, damaged, overworked, fried, processed, colored, etc.....for different jobs and no matter what, it always got my hair back right leaving it shiny, conditioned, and super healthy. Trust, achieving a head full of healthy hair while modeling is no easy accomplishment.
Great for all hair types: course, kinky, wavy, curly, different ethnicities; black, white, middle eastern, Spanish, older or younger, whichever, it is an overall good treatment for hair. Optimally, leave in hair for 1-2 days before washing, prior to any chemical treatment, and/or your regularly scheduled salon visit. You want the oil to saturate and soak in completely before washing it out. If time is of the essence, do 1-4 hours under a plastic cap while at home, or at least 30 minutes with a plastic cap under a heat source in a salon to properly coat the scalp. After washing out, hair is softer, more manageable with shine, and moisturized from root to tip. Promotes and stimulates hair growth. Great product to use for postpartum hair loss and will help restore moisture, getting hair back to pre-pregnancy state sooner.
