What to Wear Wednesday's: "Church Lady Chic"
9:00:00 AM
Back in the day, I used to rock vintage apparel heavy, really emphasizing the "bohemian look" however since having my daughter I don't get the chance to wear vintage clothing as often as I would like. However, when I do come across a piece that I really have to get, I style it in a way to fit my lifestyle now and wonder to myself, "why I don't incorporate more vintage pieces in my wardrobe?". Vintage is not only great for the environment, (falling in line with my Eco-friendly conscious ways of re-using, re-purposing, and recycling) but can definitely be seen as "easy fashion" since most vintage pieces have already been worn and designed from a different time. You can easily throw on a vintage piece with a pair of jeans or a beautiful dress, and out the door, you go! Finding vintage items that can be worn while pregnant and/or nursing can be tricky, you might have to spend time looking at a quality store with a curated selection that offers a lot of variety in sizes and items that can be easily modified to fit your needs. Nonetheless, I'm sure many of you will find great pieces anyway!
Luckily for me, I live in Jersey City where there are a lot of great local vintage shops, "Another Man's Vintage" (AMV) http://instagram.com/amtvintage being one of my favorite shops for their amazing collection and beautifully stylized items. Bonus, the owner is a fellow mompreneur, her and my daughter are fellow school mate buddies!
